30 Mountains Challenge

Here’s my newest challenge:

Mountain

What?

I’m still staying at my mother’s place. There is this mountain behind the house. It’s 1231m high, the house is at 500m altitude, so that’s about 700m altitude difference. I’m going to walk up to the summit every day for 30 days in a row.

Why?

Short answer:

Because it’s impossible.

Long answer:

Because it’s a big challenge. I know I can walk up, already did that a few times - but only once in a while. I know I could do it twice, maybe even three times in a row… but certainly not more than that. It’s just impossible for this overweight, wheezing person who struggled to reach the summit the last few times.

Because I want to push my limits and get to know myself better. I’m curious to see how many times in a row I can do it. Just for fun. That’s something I had never tried to do so far.

Because it’s a way of testing the effects of my raw diet. After two months raw, I’m experiencing such a tremendous energy increase that many things I wasn’t able to do before are becoming feasible now. I’d like to test how far it goes. Will it be enough for 30 mountains?

Last but not least, because it’s a spiritual challenge, maybe even more than a physical one. I’m not able now to believe that I can do it. So let’s see if I can get rid of this limiting belief in time. How good am I at creating my reality?

How?

I’ll do it solo, with a backpack.

On day #1, I’ll take a lot of pics and post a detailled route description so that you can see what exactly I’m doing. After that, I’ll write short reports every day, keeping track of what I ate, how much time it took to walk up and down, how many breaks I needed, and how I felt. I’ll also keep writing about the raw diet, in separate posts.

When?

Tomorrow I’ll search for my backpack and prepare everything. Then the next morning… wish me luck :)
